Default Type-R swap in 98 civic

Hi guys,

I want to swap a type-R motor in a 98 civic SI (actually an acura 1.6 EL, but same chassis as the civic SI).

How can I keep an almost stock suspension feel, or maybe just a littler firmer? Can I use the SIR suspension as it uses a B series motor?

Thanks for any input.

Yeah, I'm confused with canadian-usa equivalents. I'm actually looking for a 98 acura 1.6 EL, which has the same chassis as the civic with d17y8 motor in it, I don't know which model it is in the USA.

What about the suspension? Can I use the one from the civic with B16 motor? (US SI model??)

Civic Si = Civic EX (US model)

You can use the struts and springs from an SiR.
