12 axles. TWELVE AXLES!!!!!! Thats how many ive gone through. This is absurd. I hate this, it is impossible for the shape of a 94 accord dx coupe to travel a quarter mile in under 15.1 seconds. The Accord is done untill im finished with school. There are pieces of the splines lodged in the intermediate shaft opening. I'm trailering it back to MN sometime in late may to rebuild the tranny with a quaife and drop the H23a1.

are you using the ACT pressure plate?? also, see if you can get some axles form raxles in gainesville. marty builds them really well. ive only broken one, but thats because i launched at 6k at the tree with my h22 and act xtreme PP

My car is on jackstands awaiting axles. I dunno which ones I'm gonna get.

Im rollin the 89 Accord LXi winter beater, a 2001 GT Palomar bike, and some shiny new balances.

It broke at the launch. 3750 rpm, car jerked, then stopped and just revved. The axles snapped/exploded at the inside joint.

Difficulty: Total bitch. Normally its quite easy replacing cvs. But when they are snapped off/exploded flush with the diff and the intermediate shaft, you gotta drill out the shaft or weld a nut to the remain stump and yank it off that way.


Cost: Should be free, Frank is very good about backing up his products. I think ima see if i can swing a deal and get some discounted Stage 2s.

 

dont need to weld to it, just tap it out. thats what i did when my axle snapped inside the IM shaft.

 

i guess it never occured to you to get poly motor mount inserts or solid motor mounts..........

because that is part of your problem, the other part is that insane clutch your using......

 

Once you get that Quaife in, it'll distribute the power to both axles more evenly rather than over-stressing one (that open diffs love to do)...

~3750rpm. Not full on clutch drops, I feather it a little. I think its pure clutch insanity.
