torn cv boot axel making noise on turns
hello. i realize that this is a bad axel making this sound. my question is what is it in the axel, is it cracked and soon my wheels will fall off. how important is it to change right away. i cant do it unitl next weekend. should i not drive
Well if you can't fix it untill next weekend, you could always try putting some grease in it and taping it up. Thats a quick fix but it works for a bit.
You can also go out and buy just the boots for CV axles, but in the end you should just replace the entire axle.

yeah...you could put some grease in there just to make sure it doesn't seize while you're driving. that would be no good. just go get one at your local axel shop or autozone. replace it as soon as possible though.
