VSS wiring issues....again (honda/wiring guru's HELP)
so my speedo started acting up on me, while stopped it would fly up then drop and go back and forth and while moving it would read zero or fly up and down.
so i looked my at my vss and the plug to the harness is all corroded and one of the little wire clips was broke and hanging out. i plugged it back in and obviously it did not work, only now it does nothing.
so i got a new clip and wired it up but still nothing at all. now it's just dead. doesn't move and i'm throwing a code.
my harness and vss each had 3 dif. color wires so i think i've wired it wrong.
here is how i wired it, they are in the order from the back of the engine bay to the front.
my harness--------------vss
black w/yellow-------yellow w/ white
orange ---------------yellow w/ blue
black ----------------- black
I'm assuming that the wire order on the vss is correct b/c everything looks as if it was never removed and there is only one way to plug it in.
I have searched but all i find is conflicting info. or different wire color combos.
ANY help will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

I also have a known good vss to try if i think mine is bad but i do not want to switch out that if the wiring is the issue.
and i have a launch control set on my car for 3500rpm and b/c the vss is not working....the ecu thinks it's not moving and i cannot rev past that point. with that said i need to take care of this asap.
Thanks again

put your car on jack stands, put the car in first and let the weels turn, have someone else tap the speed sensor with a wrench or something, if it bounces that means your speedo is bad, for the wiring go to pep boys and buy a manual for your car all older honda speed sensors are wired in the same order
