94 DX b16a swap info
I'm sorry to all for asking this again but the search feature doesn't seem to be bringing up any results.
I have a 94 Civic Dx and I am looking to put a b16a swap in and I am wondering if I can use the same motor mounts and also the same axles? Any other important info that I need to know would also be really helpful.
Thank you all very much.

dont bother with the cable first gen motor. its getter older as we speek, the trannys are most likely crapped out unless you get likely then you also get the headache of swapping out the thermostat housing for one from a 92+ b series, changing out the injectors unless you wire in the injector resistor box and also have the added cost of the cable to hydro mount conversion and nasty pedal feel from the hydro going to cable type. most likely as most people say the cost is quite close in the end and differs by 2-300, my friend just did a 1st gen into his 94 del sol, and well it ended in horror. anyways, youll need b series axles and intermediate shaft that corresponde the year of the axles. rear mount will need to be from a 94+ b series motor and the other two side mounts you can use the facotry one.
do NOT BUY A FIRST GEN B16!
there are a hundred people on this board who have said its only 1000$ for the whole thing!
till ther find out you need mounts, injectors, distributor, ecu, axles, transmission/conversion to hydraulic. it totals up to more than 2500$ and you can get a b16 second gen for 23-2400.

Speaking from experience, don't buy the 1st gen. Yes it is cheaper to buy, but after you find all these little parts here and there you spent well over a 2nd gen and you won't be as fast and the motor will be older. I can get you a B16A2 w/ port and polished head with tranny for $2350. I would put it in my car, but I don't feel like doing another swap right now. I put the 1st gen in my civic and I had to buy all this stuff:
-Distributor from an OBD-I b-series (preferably GSR)
-Thermostat housing and thermostat from a Del Sol VTEC
-Axles from a 92 and up RS integra (no ABS)
-ECU from Skunk 2 or P28 re-chipped for a B-series or a B-series, only with that you have a speed limiter and it will get on your nerves.
-GSR shift linkage
-Integra shift lever
-LS exhaust manifold (no cutitng to make factory cat fit)
-Throttle cable from a Del Sol VTEC
I used a 99 SI tranny to skip the conversion
The motor mounts will work except for the front tranny mount, a/c bracket and rear engine bracket.
There may be alittle more, but if you are really interested i can give you all the info on mine. It will be easier to just get the 2nd gen. Trust me.
