i was thinking of using my friend used windshield thats sitting in his garage and replacing it on mine. how hard is it to replace it? is it good to replace the plastic / weather striping thingy? where could i go find some good glue?


the windshield is free so i was thinking if i do it myself i could save me some money.. what do u guys think?

I assume yours is broken? Windshield replacement is really something that should be left to a knowledgeable and experienced installer, because it's an important structural and safety item.

 

yes i agree with padawan take it to the shop. installation shouldn't be that much since you already have the windshield. i do all the work on my car but when it comes to that i just take it to the shop.

yes, replace the weather stripping

 

its actually easy, it takes two person to do it. the hardest part is to take the glass off , youll be needing a good knife cutter and the alignment part. other than that it should be good. on the weather strip and moldings be sure to take them out gently cause you might crack the glass.
