Should I buy this Integra?
My uncle is offering me his 1994 Acura Integra LS that is bone stock with 166,000 miles on the engine. The maintenance has been done routinely with all of the mileage being strictly highway miles as he has a 75 mile commute to work daily.
He is offering me the car for $2000.00. The car is a 5 speed as well which I am quite excited about.
Also, what kind of problems came with this generation of the Integra? Anything that should be replaced? I've read of a plastic radiator of some sort that should be replaced with a metal one but thats about it.
Oh, and this is going to be my first car. Opinions?

all radiators these days are platic... unless they are aftermaket aluminum ones. but the plastic one will hold up just fine.
if it has a clean title and the body isnt damaged. its a great deal. even if it breaks down for another 500-800$ you can drop in a jdm engine thats really low mileage and youll have a cheap reliable cool car for under 3k!
94-95 are arguably the best years for integras due to the fact that htey were still obd1.
and to update the looks you could put a 98+ front end for more agressive modern look or a JDM front end if your a high roller.

$2,000? That's a good price! I'd go for it....
and with maintenance done routinely, I'd just check to see when the last tune up was and go from there to check other normal things like...brake pads, valve cover gasket , head gasket, fuel filter, cam seals, distributor cap and rotor, etc etc

Jump on that thing.
The main problem with the stock radiators is that they have plastic end tanks which tend to crack and leak.
I replaced mine when I pulled it to replace the clutch. I took a trip down to Napa and they got me a all aluminum one that fit perfectly and accepted the fans without any trouble at all. Couldnt be happier with it.

Oh, yeah, ****** that car up ASAP. I bought my '91 last summer for $3000. It was a little high but it came from a dealer with a 1-year warranty. It didn't have a spot of rust and the interior looked brand new. However, I would have jumped at a '94 with those miles for 2G. Just couldn't find a better deal. Man, you're gonna love that car.
