Default Pulling Transmission, LS swapped hatch, Quick ?

For those that have pulled the tranny on your b-series swapped EF, Did you have to take off the rear motor mount bracket off of the back of the block in order to take the tranny off? Looks like a PIA, considering the lack of clearance b/w the rear x-member and the tranny housing.

Nope, you don't have to.

Just pull off the tranny mount

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Nisif &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Looks like a PIA, considering the lack of clearance b/w the rear x-member and the tranny housing.</TD></TR></TABLE>

This can be dealt with quite easily by just rotating the differential down. This produces better clearance with the rear crossmember.

You only need to lower the passenger side enough so that the tail of the transmission clears the frame rail.
