wiring vtec for mini me swap?
just picked up a z6 head with intake mani and its going on my d16y7 block and i cant figure out what i need to get ecu wise or what i need to wire in to get the vtec to work. i heard about using my original ecu but wiring in a rpm switch but thats all i kno and is this possible or is there a better way to do it? planning on doing this in a couple days so i would like to kno this asap thanks!
I actually have a question about this: (Not trying to thread jack!)
Most people say using an RPM switch is not the brightest way to go, but lets see you stuck with it. Wouldn't you at least get slightly better gas mileage by not always using VTEC?
Sure, most of the time you're only hitting higher RPMs when you want the added power... but just in case?
