i just put a new y8 head on my y8 block and i was adjusting the valves i used feeler gauges and it all should be close to perfect as can be... the timing is right on the crank and head were both at tdc and now im not getting any compression except for 30 in the number 2 cyl?? what the hell is wrong?

 

did you adjust the valve lash right, sounds like you didnt get each cyl to TDC before adjusting and overtightened them.
