Default Anyone with a rattling Integra?

My 94 LS is rattling at times. Seems to be coming from the rear of the car. I took almost everything apart and still nothing. Drove around with no cardboard cover, spare wheel, and top cover...still rattles.

I am thinking that it is the fender or something...how does one fix this? Any pictures maybe on how to go about making the integra quiet without spending tons of cash?

Thank you.

I have a rattle coming from the driver's side rear. It seems to get worse whenever I take a hard left turn (and hence unload that side of the suspension). The strut cylinders are < 1 year old, so I don't think that's it. Everything is torqued tight and buttoned down so I suspect it's just old, sloppy suspension bushings.

Let us know if you find anything.

sounds like it could be a heat shield. this is a common problem with integras. just do a search, this is posted once every few days. hopefully you can pull something up.

I have a rattle too. I started poking around and it was the mudguard to my rear passenger side brake rotor.

Check the axle bearings. I asked my mechanic about a rattling that sounds like a woodpecker usually when I turn at slow speed, especially when I'm starting it up. He told me it's probably the axle bearings.

Good to know that I am not the only one with this problem.

It is not the mudguard issue because I dont have those on the car. I am soo close to dynamatting the whole rear of the car. I doubt that will fix the issue tho.

O also, this does not happen when I am turning, but when I am just driving straight.

It does happen sometimes when I am moving in a straight line, but usually when I am turning. Also, I had an annoying rattling that was driving me crazy that sounded like it was coming from the rear of the car or the dash. Turned out it was the collar on my shift boot rattling against my shifter. Doesn't sound like that's your problem, but thought I'd add that snippet anyway.

I also had this problem, it ended up being that my muffler was vibrating aganist my rear bumper. I replaced the rubber mounts that hold the muffler in place, and I never had the problem again. I can't think of the name of them right now. If anyone know what I am talking about post it.
