I think it's over weight, rear end is ugly, they tried to copy the ITR specific alcantra over to it and I personally wouldn't own one. Other than that, it's still a Honda right?

its still faster, responds better, better looking(with the honda lip kit), has a better engine to modify or even leave stock, and itr's are old, B-series are nothing compared to big K's. but suspension wise im not sure, cause i havnt really payed much attention to them. are they the same system as RSX's? </TD></TR></TABLE>

then go buy an Si and stop trying to mod your integra to look like an R.

Faster? I don't think so, I lay down 14.4's in a stock R.
Better? How, please explain?
Better Looking? Yeah, sober up, cause we all know things look better when drunk
Better engine to mod? Depends on who you ask. B-series are proven
Sussy, I'll answer that one for you. ITR is one of the best in the world stock for stock

Its alright but I agree with everything the midget says. It weighs what? 2800lbs, what could you strip off to get it down to a decent weight? The *** end is ugly as hell, I like the 4 door butt, but not the coupes! I also dont like the drive by wire crap. With the new SI there is too much involved, ie airbags everywhere, elctronic upgrades, drive by wire, and some more. I like simple, i like my teg.

But all in all to honda for finally growing a pair and putting something decent out to semi compete with the other cars on the market. As time goes by and I get the chance to take one apart I might end up liking it.

an NSX is far superior to the ITR, even if they are two completely different cars they still both wear the same badges which is what you asked.

I own one. They are better... in some ways. They are also worse in some ways.

There is no perfect car in the world that I've ever driven, all cars have pros and cons, the ITR, S2000, NSX and new Si all have pros and cons. What's better for me may not be better for you.

Can't we all just be enthusiasts and just enjoy driving fun to drive cars?

NO, TYPPE R's are the best cars ever made. and their owners are special. there will never be a car thats as good. they are the best front wheel drive ever made and there will bever be a front wheel drive car thats better. ITR's are also supercars even tho they cost 25k new. so never, EVER ask the ITR owners to be just simple enthusiasts.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Who is this troll and where did he come from. If your such an ***, don't come in the ITR forum. Yes, some may be biased about their cars but really do you need to come in here and talk all this ****? And if there so undesirable why in your sig are you looking for ITR parts?

I drove my friends new Si and I was not really impressed.
The first thing I noticed was the steering wheel.
It seemed odd to me. Can't really put my finger on it.
The next thing I notcied was how weak the clutch felt.
It took 0 effort to depress the clutch, and it seemed difficult to me to find the point where it began to engage (short of just hitting the floor).
The shifter was very smooth, but the engine did not rev down when I let off the gas and clutched, so it was jerky. I did not feel like acceleration was as quick as my caR.
The exhaust note is really nice....great sounding exhaust.
I like the looks. The interior was nice, and comfortable.
The gauge/cluster layout didn't sit well with me.
All in all, I wouldn't buy one.

Well I doubt most of us would call the ITR a supercar.

However it is argueably the best FWD car made in the recent past. It's not groundbreaking like the original Mini, but for what it was designed for, it's greater than the sum of it's parts.

The Si is probably a great car but which would I rather have (most likely) on a road course? I'd be willing to bet money that the answer would be the ITR. It's simply a capable, quick, easy to drive car for that use.

That's not to say the Si sucks or that the R is the best.

I agree. My roommate just picked up an S2000, IMHO its ugly without the hardtop. He has since bought the hardtop, lowered it, and an exhaust. The only negative thing I can say is that my 6'4 260lb *** doesnt fit well in it. Def fun car, just lacking some room.

There are not many people out there that will give credit when credit is due. If a car catches my eye or grabs my attention while driving i could care less what it is.

I really like what Dave wrote. That about sums up my feelings as well.

I feel that as an enthusiast, many itr owners will appreciate the "next generation" of honda's - s2k, nsx replacement, tl, rl, and new si.....

How could we ignore the capabilities of the K series?

The new Si is growing on me more and more as the looks go.

For a daily driver, it doesn't seem to be as much of a thief-magnet right now... although I'm sure modifed versions will garner unwanted attention for the k-swap.

The weight - well it does seem to be a little hefty, presumably due to the high degree of safety features endowed by honda.....

Is the jury still out on the suspension? I know honda made a lot of changes to help with that.....

If I had the money I'd rock one as a daily driver.

I think they look good from the front, havn't decided on the rear, it reminds me of a Scion Tc, and the dual gauge cluster layout would have to grow on me.

There is no argument that the K-series platform is superior to the B-series. I would have a hard time living with that car before voiding the warranty. 250whp is so easy.

To Honda for finally releasing a sport compact car for the new generation.

I haven't personally driven one yet. I did check out one at our local Honda dealer. The front and side profiles look nice. The rear is horrible. Interior wise, I'm very dissappointed. The gauges...blah. The front dash board is big enough for me to roll a sleeping bag out on to take a snooze. Most importantly, I don't like how Honda implimented the Type-R interior theme into this new car. This was one other thing (the interior) that made the Integra Type-R that much more special. Heck, this was more or less exclusive to the entire Type-R lineup (NSX, Integra, Civic, Accord). Now you can find this theme trickling down into 'cheaper' models.

Perhaps all the dumb *** thieves will start ripping off these new SI seats.

Like Marshal said, I'd drive one for DD... if it was given to me. Though I'd be content with anything for DD.
