D15B7 Engine cranking but not starting
Help...
I have a 93 Del Sol with a D15B7 engine and I recently replaced the clutch and the seals and water hoses. When I went to restart the car the engines cranks but will not start. I checked for spark at the plugs and none is present. The engine is set to TDC and the distributor, wires etc.. appears to be in order.
I installed the jumper wire into the ECU jumper and the Engine light on the dash just stays on.. no blinking... Does anyone know if the engine light should stay on when the jumper wire is installed....
I'm thinking there may be a problem with the ECU or distributer/coil....

By 'consistent cel' do you mean the light on the dash is consistently on... how can I be certain it's a bad ECU.. is there a test that I can do...
It worked find prior to taking the engine out... the only think I can think of was I installed a new radio while the engine was out and needed to turn the key on to test the radio and speakers out... I'm wondering if having all the plugs disconnected when I turned the key on screwed up the ECU...
Thanks for the help,
Tony

that wont screw up the ecu. did you replace the thermostat? Check the ground for the ecu on the thermostat housing. Its the wire that screws on with a 10mm
That's funny that's one thing I wanted to change but didn't.. but I'll check there tonight anyway.... Someone told me it's probably the distributor.. he asked if there was rust inside, which there was.. so I'll probably change the distributor and see if that helps also.. it's not a bad idea seeing that the car has 150K miles on it and it looks like the original dist...
