LS, GSR and Type-R rear trailing arm
are there any difference if just comparing the arm? Cos i need to replace the arm and it's hard to source type-r trailing arm. The shop told me that they could separate the hub and and arm so i can put back type-r hub back in but not sure if gsr trailing arm fits on type-r

Correct. They will have to remove your Type R spindle w/ caliper bracket (large torx bolts on the back of the TA) & transfer it to the new trailing arm...
If your swaping spindles, you can also use any 88-00 Civic/CRX/Sol or 90-01 Integra trailing arm. Since your removing the spindle, they are ALL interchangable. Your only concern should be the condition of the larger "trailing arm bushing"...
