totally new to honda civics

Default totally new to honda civics

picked up a 90 si civic for 800 a week or so ago not bad shape there is a rust spot ( hole size of my fist ) on the bottom of car on drivers side, has a 94 si engine already installed but the car is missing a tranny mount and the vtec is is toggle switched in. Im in the process of getting a harness to switch obdo to obd1 and i think i will be getting a p28 ecu and im working on the tranny mount the one my friend got me says it work but i couldnt get it in grrrr. Any suggestions comments anytrhing please leve i feel like a calf lost in a big world

P.s.- anyone help me on this damn tranny mount problem all thats holding my tranny up is a chain where can i get tranny serial # i think its the stock tranny but dont know any help i would appriaciate

As long as the trans is the stock cable d series trans from an 88-91 Civic/CRX you can use any 88-91 manual trans mount. Hit the junkyd and grab whatever mounts you need. hth

does anyone have a good pic or two of the mount there like no civic 's in junkyards around here our junkyards are really sad around here either they have nothing or have stuff and tell you they have nothing and you cant go look

i almost forgot i have another problem and i was hoping for some answers when i hit the brakes you can feel shaking through the steering wheel pretty badly i figured the suspension is about gone am i right or is there more to it one other thing is MSD ignition useful for ef's or are they not really needed ?

in terms of the shaking when your braking, thats due to you rotors being warped. it happens when the rotor is not smooth anymore and that will cause the vibration. i dont know about the MSD ignition. hope that helps.

#5 is the rear transmission mount (may need correct bracket #10 or #9)
#13 is the front transmission mount
