Default GReddy SP Exaust

Just wondering if anyone has one or how any of you guys feel bout it??? I heard its pretty quiet which is what like about it. but it is only 50mm which is about 2 inches. Is that enough for an EF9 with a b16?? Thanks

Get MX instead of SP...MX has 60mm piping and a better looking exhaust tip(Power Extreme exhst. tip). The SP has a rolled tip MX isnt too loud at low RPMs...but gets pretty loud when vtec engages. Not nearly as loud as a canister type exhaust (N1, Fireball, RM)

I had the SP with 60mm piping (2 3/8") and I was more than happy with it. Personally, I like the rolled tip a lot more than the chopped look. It just looks cleaner IMO. If I wasn't in need of a 3" exhaust I would have definatly kept it.

Ok, cause i was on their website and they only listed the sp at 50mm and it didn't even have a listing for MX for a civic hatch (EF9). But i definatly want 60mm. anyone have one forsale?? sp or mx.

I have a b16a with GReddy MX. Works really well, but I havent tried anyother exhaust either. My friend has a Racing Medallion on his 99 Si and it definately enhances the sound of vtec more than my GReddy. But overall, the GReddy sounds a lot 'cleaner.'

Its working great for me so far, huge improvement over stock. Its 2" mandril bent, which IMO will be fine for most N/A applications. Get the MX if you are ever thinking about going with boost. Its very very quiet, arguably as quiet as stock, but gives you the flashy rear muffler and subtle tip. Most people wont even know you have it unless they see it, you cannot hear it by just pulling up somewhere. I just posted it, but heres another pic.

If you want, this is a video of me auto'xing today and you cannot even hear it, all you hear is the aem growl.

Almost all exhausts sound like poo without a cat on. How is GReddy not good enough for a ef b16a?? Cause its too loud?

it has nothing to do with the fact that its a greddy exhaust, and that in your opinion it "doesnt cut it for the b16 ef9" if it doesnt cut it, its becuase you modified the crap out of it making it garbage.

If you leave the cat on or use a high flow cat. The exhaust will stay quiet, if your using a b16, the engine and intake will be much louder than the (Greddy) exhaust.

You may want to ask cyntoric@hybrid-motorsports.com , he is an expert on exhausts.

I had SP with my B16a until just recently... I had no cat, without modding the resonator or the muffler. Sounded GReAT. Just BARELY louder than stock, adn it made power, definitely. I sold it for 250ish + shipping.

I had it for 2 years, it was in good shape, but during shipping the riveting on the muffler came loose... The buyer was appreciative of the good price, plus I cleaned it up GOOOD before shipping, so it all worked out nice. He apparently is jsut gunna take it in to have the seal reStainless welded.

Nice sale, nice exhaust. I loved mine N/a, but I got a 3" thermal for my turbo now
