Default DC5-R ECU?? Part#?

Well,..heres a question I haven't heard asked,(maybe I'm wrong).But the DC5-R ECU would def work in an RSX-S correct? basically like a JDM DC2 ECU works?
I need a part # or someone that can get one!
Heres the deal,.I was told by more then one person that the RSX-S' kinda got *detuned* when they got off the boat(From The HOmeland).Well,..I think an ECU change is probably all you need to see close to the DC5-R's power difference,..along w/ the obvious(cams, throttle, etc).I WANT ONE,.."and thats the bottom line"If we get the 02 TYPE-R,.I have a feeling it will look like this except w/ the good motor!

We wont get REcaro's in the CIVIC-R(sport Compact mag) and in this pic there are no Recaros in that R either
They are even talking about Detuning the EVO7 but it will still destroy all,.I think they are gonna make it like 250hp and its already 276hp but say its more like 300hp,...but they say something will change when it comes here!Just my thoughts!

That's a nice type R. Is it from australia or canada? You can tell where its came from based on the rims. If you look they are the rsx-s rims but in championship white. But in all its a sweet looking car. I to am also looking or a jdm ecu. I might be getting one soon. I got my friend who owns a import shop looking for one for me. If he finds one I will post where and for how much you can purchase it for. well good luck.

I can get em for you right now In NZ. Considering they are a small part, and the beneficial exchange rates from US to NZ$, it may be cheap for you.

I did get a quote once, I'll look it up...

Isn't the NZ/Aus TypeR using the same engine/ECU as the TypeS in the US? I thought your TypeR was a 200hp motor, not the 220hp in the JDM version.

not exectly thru, we have done a few DC5-R and a lot of parts turn out to be JDM-R parts. They detuned it mainly on the header and catalyc converter. And that R on the picture does come with RECARO, which is Aussie version TypeR.

Unless you can get 100 octane gas where you live the DC5 R ECU will be a useless upgrade to you. That's why they detuned it in the first place.....***** US gas
