Default d16z6 smog help

i have a couple of questions about smogging a d16z6 in an ef in california...i converted from obd0 to obd1 using a wire harness...i have the right ecu(chipped p28) and z6 intake manifold..right now i have a dc header and aem short ram intake...

1. do i need to put the stock header back on?
2. do i need to put on the stock intake if so which one the ef or the d16z6?
3. do i need to hide the wiring from the conversion harness?
4. do i need to check the timing?
5. what else do i need to do?

also the dmv told me to go to a test only station...if anyone knows a good spot in or near san francisco
please let me know

Just make sure that you have a cat converter and stock exhaust on. Also before you go, make sure that you jump on the highway and floor the **** out of it. When you do that it heats up the cat converter so the cat can clean up the bad stuff that is coming out. Also changing the intake won't make a difference. Give it a try, it worked for me.

Depends on where you go but….
1. YES
2. YES or the one with the curb emblem
3. Maybe not
4. You should so you are not running too advance or retarded
Check for any vacuum leak, good cat, etc (oil, spark plug and O2 sensor)

I'm in San Ramon, If that is close enough for you. Yes I am a test only!
Smog King is the name...925-820-5665

And, My suggestion is

1. No (Bring your reciept for the header) we can look up the CARB number
2. No (Bring your reciept for the intake) we can look up the CARB number
3. Hide it as much as possible, No loose wires please
4. Yes. It is an automatic fail if your timing is off by more than 2 degrees
5. Run regular. Clean your air filter. Tune-up might help a bit.
