Don't sweat it unless your car is totally stripped and a hardcore racer, if youre gonna worry about that kinda weight start doing some extra sit ups everyday and lose that weight off your body
Late second gen RX7 " 1988" is not Yellow and is light as hell if you throw in the Alu jack and handle as well. it drops 9 lbs off the rear.
I ditched the pics or i would put them up.

Or if you can find a NSX spare that will work too.

Not a good choice, for several reasons:
1. The NSX spare has a larger center bore (the big hole in the middle) because it needs to be able to be used on the front hub (64 mm) and the rear hub (70 mm).
2. The NSX spare is collapsed so you will need an air compressor to use it.
3. The NSX spare costs around $900 new for the wheel and tire assembly, which is the only way you can buy the tire, so used ones are in high demand and fetch a relatively high price. For what you could sell one for, you could buy a brand new ITR stock spare wheel ($102.77 at Delray) and a brand new spare tire, and maybe have money left over.

Which brings us back to this:
I usually bring a can or two when tooling around the neighboorhood. But I also carry a mini air pump and a few other small goodies in the back just in case. I just don't feel like changing the tire with that scary OEM jack on the side of the road with the scarier traffic wizzing bye.

Tis why I also carry a pump.

hardcore racers have to add weight after they strip everything out of the car to meet minimum weight requirements.
Lightweight spare? I thought I'd seen it all in here.... huhuhu.

...and if your car is a hardcore racer, just use the regular spare and take it out of the car before you race. That's the true "lightweight option".
