Isn't the JDM B18c a "GSR" motor, and the JDM B18cR an "ITR" motor? If there is no "R",then how do you differentiate between the two, since there isn't a JDM B18c1?That little chick in "The Matrix" said "there is no Spoon"-she was wrong-couldn't you be,too?
Both say B18C. If you know how to idenitify a GSR motor from a ITR motor it's easy.
1. Different manifolds. ITR curves up, GSR looks like a snail.
2. Different heads:
a. GSR is identified as P72
b. ITR has the upper radiator hose beneath the distributor
c. GSR has the upper radiator hose beneath the vtec solonoid.
Both the GSR and the ITR motors share the same block. The casing is the same, it's the internals such as pistons and the crank that differ.
