NAME THIS NUT SIZE!! Lowermost LCA Nut- Lost Mine
I need to know the size of the nut that attaches under the bottom of the front lower control arms, I wanna hit the store in 20 min and get this back assembled but I dont know what size this is and Ive lost both so I cant compare and everything else is already assembled

I dont really care if its a castle nut or not, Imma put locktits on it anyways, I just need to know what size of nut to look for

i just had the same prob.... i have a import ball joint separator. and it worked fin on all but one that was just siezed and would never come out so i just replaced the lca (i had a spare) if you havnt tried this tool yet auto zone will rent for free....

i bought one recently from the honda dealer and they claim its a 12mm but in reality its a 17mm.

correct, it is a very odd size most places wont have it, i had to special order a die to clean up the threads on mine, and no off the shelf tap kit had that size in it

yeah, no kit has the right tap and die for hondas, but we dont need a whole kit anyway. we just need like 5 different theads for the whole dang car. i just found a decent shop that had em. cleaning out the castle nuts and balljoints has saved me a few times already from a lot of extra hassle or needing to replace it with a new one.
those castle nuts really arent meant to be reused. they definately stretch and is the reason why they dont go back on cleanly without rethreading. chase the threads, and its much easier.

Grabbed some new ones, $.39 each and I picked up some new radiud rod bolts since mine are looking pretty shitty

The nut has holes on the sides so you can put a safety pin in it too. If you didn't know.
