If everything else is in working condition, and you no longer have PS/air conditioning, then it will pass. Both the items are luxury items and are not nessecary to pass MD inspection. The plus is once you pass, you are straight for life, and emissions is nothing since if your car is too low, then you get a waiver, and don't have to do it. Let me know and I can help you pass.

That only works for emissions, and yes it works wonders(4years running for me )

But goodluck and let us know.

Before I turboed the car I failed Nox......unburnt fuel I guess, anyway, simple fix I installed a MSD 6200AL on my DOHC ZC went back and passed. The car still has the original cat, 1990 Si. I turboed the car now, single camY8-Z6/OBD1 chipped P28/Crome/2 1/2" Dp/ 4-wire 02 sensor, no MSD this time and yeah, failed for the same thing. For some reason the MSD does not work. I tried hooking it up to my new motor and it fried my dizzy. I'm going to change the cat take my chances and try again. The ref said that if I can show receipts for at least $400 in emissions related repair then I could get a waiver. I have an appt. in May.

md inspections are a bitch. i just had to get my rex inspected (90 dx) and they failed it on the stupidest ****. i failed because at the time i had clear corners with amber bulbs (bullshit) and because my drivers seat was pretty torn up. they said it was "unsafe". whatever. it's the little things they like to get you on. my brother failed on windshield wipers. his car was running like **** at the time and kept stalling out, but they failed it for the wiper blades. i tend to think that in a real driving situation a car taht stalls every 5 min or so is more of a safety hazard, but according to md that's fine as long as everything else is in working order. the only nice thing about the md safety inspection is that you only have to do it once.
