inner or outer? im going to assume outer.
if youre doing both sides, then do one side at a time. youll see why later.
its pretty simple really. you need to pop off the tie rod balljoint. i use the hammer method, just loosen the castle nut and strike the side with the hammer. you can use a pickle fork if this is your first time and youre going to replace the tie rod anyway. once the balljoint is loose, put it back in. then you need a 22mm wrench to break loose the jamnut. its an oddly huge size... once thats done, just use a 14mm wrench to hold the inner tie rod in place and unscrew the outer tie rod off.
put the new one back on. hand tighten everything back together. put the wheel back on. adjust by eye. then go for a test drive. try to get the alignment back to where the alignment was before you started. by working only ONE side at a time, you have the maintain some reference. once its back to "normal", hopefully. then you can replace the other side. and then go back to the same reference if you did the first side right.
once youre done, even tho youve maintained the reference and eye adjusted and whatnot, you MUST get an alignment asap!
good luck. dont forget the cotter pin, just buy a bunch of new ones, theyre so cheap why bother reusing old bent ones...

You could come into a situation like me. I ordered the tie rod ends and tried to get the balljoint off and the bolt that holds the castle nut was spinning with the nut. Tried air gun and that didn't do it. I was just going to cut the bolt off already but chickened out because I didn't know how hard it would be to get the jamnut off so I just took it to Honda.
I drop the car off with the parts on the seat...all is good. All is not good. They call me back telling me that the tie rod's are the wrong part and gave me a sebring for a loaner car
It's a good thing I didn't cut those bolts.
