Sleeving... who's quickest? Bensons on 4-6 week backup?
Need a GSR block sleeved asap. Heard from Earl that Bensons is crazy backed up. Anyone know about the "Race Engine Sleeves" place that's now a sponsor on here? 3 day turnaround...
Any other places offer a MID type of sleeve setup with a 2 week or so turnaround? Thanks.

Earl told me it would take 6 weeks, i got a call from him 3 and a half weeks later that it was done, it was around the holidays which makes him crazy busy....
I think he says that so he won't make people mad incase it does come late....
Don't take my word for it though. haha.
I had a really good experience w/ Earl.

Justice Racing Engines is the best and on the East Coast.... ask for Jim 301 624 1000 Also I would not go with anyone that claims to be the quickest, sleeving is something you want done right the 1st time, and this time a year most shops are gonna be backed up....good luck
i just sent a b18c5 block to have sleeved by RS Machines. I was[am] a bit weary due to bad things i have heard in the past but decided to give them a shot. 2 weeks or less is what they said. Then last week i received a call saying they wanted an extra $250 to align bore the mains cause of some "hotspots" they noticed. i asked for some pics and they were supposed to send them the next morning and guess what... no pics or return calls.
I am in no way calling them out just yet!!! I will be trying today to get them on the phone. They have had excellent communications thus far here on H-T but just not the last few days.
edit: I spoke with Eddie yesterday and my block is good to go. No problems here. Turn around time a little less than 2 weeks.

Id rather be sure my block is in good hands at the expense of an extra week or 2...thats why I sent mine to earl last week even tho he said it could take up to 6 weeks (probably wont but its possible). Rushing big projects like this just increases your risk for failure, but if your in a huge rush sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do...goodluck
its spring and therefore race season, alot of places are backed up.
if benson is too backlogged, try calling ERL or GE and see what their current status is. I know ERL on occasion has some spare blocks, which they will just sell. That's how i got my block so quick (aka full assembled in 2 weeks).

our turnaround time is 10 to 15 days and we sleeve blocks for top racers like bergenholtz racing skunk2 and we just picked up bisi who ran his 1st 9 sec pass at the boti event last weekend so you know it will get done right and fast when you go with Golden Eagle
I've had awesome experiences with Earl in the past (Pauters, etc.) and he's always taken the time to explain things to me on the phone. For that, I'm going to suck up the wait and give him the business. On top of it, I have yet to hear or see any complaints about Dan's work.
I been running a Golden Eagle sleeved block for close to 3 years wihtout any problem. Althouh it took about 2 1/2 to get it back, but it was worth the with. GE

sorry we were unable to send the pics the next morning. we have been real busy lately due to the fact that it is race season now, and there are alot of shops and people depending on us to help them get there blocks worked on.that is of course no excuse ,but please bare with us. your block is finished and we felt that instead of just sending it back right away, we felt obligated to inform you if you did not already know, that it looked as if there was was damage to your main journals .giving you the option to decide if you would like us to repair it or just send it back to you the way it is . if you have any ?'s feel free to call us . 310-221-6445 . We will be expecting your call ,and appreciate your business.
