Check out my damage. 710 FWY is EVIL

So I'm driving to Willow Springs Raceway on Friday for a Redline track event. A piece of metal flies off a truck and hits my transmission. No way to avoid it. I pull over and jack my car up. My friend then pulls out a huge chunk of scrap metal.
When the piece of metal hit my car, I yelled "expletive" then downshifted and pulled over. I was able to make it to Rosamond, CA but, when I got to the track my car wouldn't go into gear easily anymore. I had to jam the gears in. So it's raining around 2 o' clock there and I had to have my car towed about 112 Miles. Luckily my roommate was there, she had 100+ free towing from AAA. Otherwise I'd be paying out my ******* right now.
It is probably going to take me two weeks to fix this. I'm already 1/2 way done pulling the transmission out. I just wish it didn't happen right before school starting up again. College is a bitch.
Morale of the story, if you want to race pull your car on a trailer. I'm going to try to do that next time. Eff driving over 100+ miles to get to the track in your lowered track prepped Honda. Gahhh....
Money that needs to be spent
1. More tools
then either
a. new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel.
b. new transmission entirely with new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel.
c. new bell house or just weld it up
I have to pull the transmission to see what the deal is. This is awesome I have no car. I feel like a burden on peopl enow.

that sucks man...
from what you said about it.. it seems that maybe just your clutch is damaged.
maybe you'll get lucky and wont have to replace the tranny..

Most likely, it was hard to get it into gear only sometimes.

Yeah a huge chunk of scrap metal. Went through my front splitter that I made and into my trans. Even if I had a skid plate it wouldn't have helped me.

that **** looks worst in person.
dude, alex you could have driven my car if you wanted. Chris wanted to put me in Advanced but I was running all seasons thanks to someone who lagged on my R-Compound order 4 months ago and never ordered them.
