I got beat by a Scion TC who supposively just had intake, headers, and exhaust. My ITR is completely stock. Anyone else have experiences with these cars? oh yea im going to dyno my car... whats the norm for a stock R?

is your R black? if it is, you have a GSR and this all makes complete sense...

on realistic side.. itrs can get beat by just about anything this days

BS. tCs weigh almost 3000 lbs. No way it's beating an ITR unless it has a Camry V6 swap or a turbo.

TC probably had 50shot or you dont know how to drive.

 

type Rs take 6.5 seconds to 60 and high 14s in 1/4 mile.
bone stock scion tCs take 7.5 seconds to 60 and mid-high15s.
trd supercharged tCs are mid 14 second cars.

now if you take into account the wear on the itr and the fact that that e/h/i tCs run 15 flat you'll see why its possible to get burned by one. remember cars evolve over time. a base rsx will eat an LS or even a GS-R. so the modern paseo (lol) could be as fast as the old ITR.

ITRs tend to get faster with age...not slower.

Scions are fast but it all comes down to the driver. My buddies is stock and he is always saying that he's beating people. Now that i remembered he told me he smoked a yellow ITR about a month ago. I asked how he knew it was really an R and he said because how i had described to him that it was 5 lug, no sunroof, and etc. I dont know if ite true but who knows. It wasnt you right???????

This is true. Carbon buildup on the pistons create higher compression.

Dunno. All I know is that the motors take a little longer to break in than most think, so they can get stronger with age, given proper maintenance.

 

What a freakin coincidence!! Sorry DC2.ITR but it is in fact true he did actually have I/H/E. That is my broham Ryan. White TC with 15% tint, stock ride height BTW nice jdm frontend!!

 

i'd like to see how the TC handles against the ITR on a track...i doubt it could keep up.
