Default D16Z6 trans. into 90 CRX HF

I am looking into buying a 92' Civic Si D16Z6 engine w/trans. to swap into my 90' CRX HF. Will the transmission bolt in? I know the block will bolt to my trans., but that is not the goal. I want to use the Si trans. that comes with the engine. Anyone help me out on this.

alot of ppl are gonna say that it wont work, because the z6 tranny is hydro and supposedly the mounts dont line up, technically it is possible to do it, but its a really big hassle to do, gettin some sort of special mount for the trans, running the hydro lines, making a custom thing for the slave cylinder, so forth, but to answer ur original question, i dont think the tranny will directly drop into the car
correct me if i'm wrong anybody

I would say pretty much the same thing. Even if it does bolt straight in, it will be a PITA to make a hydro tranny work in a CRX. Supposedly, hasport is working on a cable to hydro kit. Don't know how far along they are though. I'd like to know though.

I don't know if the HF tranny will work with the Z6 (help anyone?), but it might be in your best interests to pick up and Si 5-speed, as they will bolt together easily and with no hassles.

yes the 92 tranny will bolt up to your car, but i wouldnt recommend it, personally i would go out and get a 88-91 si tranny with is alot better tranny, a lot stronger tranny, and it has shorter gears.

hasport is working on a kit for the hydro lude tranny into a cable car.....

the byproduct of this will be a hydro b16a in a cable car.....

Dont know if he'll do d series or not... after all d series trannys are fairly easy to find
