Default insruance for modified car

who knows of a place (perferable locally to Fort Worth) that coveres modified cars and rce cars? My current insurnace is dropping coverage on my car and I need a new comapny to cover it. I'm currently with Geico.

i'm hunting around the net right now for a "stared" insrnace company that covers modified cars.

Thanks for the help guys,
if possible please email me directly,
oscar@mayer.net

you should be able to talk to an insurance company and tell them your car is modified, and you would like to just insure it for a flat amount. Like 5k, or 10k or whatever. Its obviously gonna be more expensive, but yeah. Why'd they drop ya. Did you have an accident or something?

well the big companies will not cover it at all.

i was with geico for over 7 years and they dropped the coverage after i called asking to do the stated insurance for just $12k when i have close to 20 in the car as a whole.

I'm going to hit up a few agents toamrrow to see what they say, but if someone has any suggestions,m I'd be more than greatful.

i remember I saw a company featured on spike that insurances show and race cars, anything but daily drivers. Let me see if I can find the company.. I don't know how creditable they were though

Thats how every company that I called was. They will insure my car as stock but not for anything aftermarket unless I wanted to pay 1,200 a month!!!!!!!!! I guess something about a 17 years old at the time with a built turbo car scared them. LOL O well, with the money I save with just insuring a stock civic I could rebuilt it 2 times over.

there is a company online i was talking to a guy about it i cant remember what it is though but you actually list your aftermarket parts and their prices, they then send out a rep to check and make sure you have all the parts you said you have and if everything is cool they will insure everything and its only like 30 bucks more a month. God i wish i could remember who it was, it was a common name but it has just slipped me now sorry man
