Default h22 crank and rods w/ custom pistons in f22b1 block.

Who has done it????

I've searched and only found vague info. I know that the interchangability will work but how about rpm wise?

Has anyone boosted this combo?

What about with major headwork and cam/valvetrain to match.

I know accord387 was trying to do it but I don't think he ever got it together.

anyone have info on it and is the loss in displacement that noticable.

Rico

^^^That's a linkzor to a thread on cb7tuner that I started regarding H22 rods with an F22 crank and pistons. Apparently the pistons won't clear.

As far as that setup with an H22 crank, you'd get 2,058cc of displacement with stock 85mm pistons, and pretty low compression as well (lower than the stock 8.8:1). With 11:1 F22 pistons on the H crank/rods you'd probably get about 10-10.5:1 compression, which isn't too bad. I'm sure if you called up Raceeng.com with what you wanted to do they could throw something together for you; I'm pretty sure they make their own pistons.

I've got a buddy that works at wiseco so I'm set on custom pistons..... (they make raceeng's pistons)

I was just considering it for the r/s ratio

I'm just wondering if anyone has done it with positive results.

I'll def check out that link tho

If your homie works at Wiseco, see if he can get you custom pistons and longer rods...that'll be primo for your bottom end geometry. If they can make pistons with the wrist pin higher you'll be set.

will that give it better torque , using a f22a1 which usually outputs good torque and the h22a1 compression that should give some pretty good torque and good high end hp

I already know that he will make them. I've already drawn them up I just was wondering if anyone has done it.

Plan is to use an h22 crank and off the shelf h22 eagle rods.

The plan is to be around 9.8- 10.2:1 comp

Then boosting the **** outta it.

It will allow me to rev higher and probably necessitate a complete cam/valvetrain upgrade to even flow that high.
