Though I personally own and autocross a new 2006 Civic LX Coupe, I had the opportunity to try an Si this weekend with R-compound race rubber (same as I have - Kumho V710, just different sizes and neither car has race shocks yet).
I had inside wheelspin (unloaded wheel) issues with the Si. It did NOT prevent the wheels from spinning when coming out of tight turns under heavy acceleration... It may be due to the thick, solid front swaybar, the owner is buying the LX unit (thinner and hollow).
I had no such wheelspin issues on my LX with an open differential.

But you have to use special anti-freeze with yours because of the cold weather up there right? Down here the LSD's come with 10W-R32 which is less conductive.

From a stop, you have to hit the rpms in a magical spot to not get wheel spin. But around corners it is awesome. You just point the wheel and hit the acc, wherever you point the wheel is where the car is going to go. It is very predictable and very accurate.
