So I was experincing some wheel hop, Installed the DC Hasport Kit (not a funky swap just a 98 US ITR swap in a DB8 chassis).. the wheel hop went away for awhile but now its back and slowly getting worse and now recently has a skipping sound every hop, I did have a broken rear mount so maybe it put alot of stress on my axles? I do feel some vibrations at low rpm acceleration.. Its not my transmission cause I had it pulled and checked, the hasports are still solid the engine does not move... I'm worried about the skipping sound like i broke something and its banging against each other.. the car feels solid until the tires brake loose... it has 01 JDM ITR springs/struts... so what should i do... replace axles? suspension/bushings? traction bar?

it happened to me,my shocks went bad and i was on a bumpy freeway,my shock completely blew my axle boot broke and it hooped alot.i went home and replaced the boot.i try driving it and it felt a little hoping not alot .i removed it and check it but it looked fine.i am sure that what happened is the axle bended enough.i replaced it and my problem was gone.

 

also check for your wheel to be balanced!

 

Wheel hop is hard on axles. Just my opinion tho. When I was NA, I could wear em out pretty fast. (inner hubs) Now that Im boosted and have a jimfab, its been a while since Ive had to replace em.

 

bump for you man i currently have traction bars, engine damper, and ES motor mount inserts and i still wheel hop in my LS-T. going to buy stiffer suspension next hopefully that will fix it

 

i have really bad wheel hop when i floor it and my wheels spin. its even worse when it rains. and its on my right front wheel because my axel has a bad cv joint. i have the axel but im not putting it in till i get a front end si braje swap. the studs my FR wheel are messed.
