You adjust what rpm the vtec engages. I have heard they arent worth the money. I had looked into getting one. Your better off just getting your ecu chipped if you want to change your vtec engagement.

Your car isn't going to go any faster, theres a reason why honda set it at certain rpms.

what your engine engage the vtec before dont means that it would be more fast.. you'll need to change the fuel map

i think everyone needs a lesson on what vtec actually is, its just like switching to a bigger cam at that certain rpm. and if you know anything you know that more lift at lower rpm equals less torque, the point of vtec is to keep the cam lobes small enough to produce low/midrange tq and then when those small lobes arent enough for the amount of air charge the ecu switches to the "high" cam lobes. if there were a better rpm for vtec to engage honda would have used it, they are for the most part optimized for from the factory: MPG, power, emmissions. no changes to the high cam lobe needed on a stock or mild motor.

Yes you can, though it's not a good idea.

I have that good simple "How VTEC Works" (and how to spell it without an H at the end) video. Where should I host it?
