Default 98 accord tranny problems, I need help

I have a 98 accord 3.0 auto with 160,000 miles my wife drives the car and she told me that the tranny was slipping and that it was shifting hard when downshifting, I took it out for a drive and it drove pretty good at first but then it started shifting really hard into 2nd and also when downshifting, so being the man that I am I decided to drive it hard i put the pedal to the medal and even got a scratch on the 2nd gear, that's when everything went wrong, now when i put it in drive the tranny slips, it catches and then slips again. The CEL also came in it is showing code 70 but no specifics, do you guys think that i need to rebuild the tranny or could it be some kind of pressure sensor, thanks for your help guys.
