a possible worn rubber stopper on the brake pedal,,

a faulty brake switch
,,unplug the switch see if lite goes off..

Where in Houston are you? Depending on what side of town you're on, I'd be willing to take a look for you.

I'm on the Southeast side. (45 & the Beltway)

If you'd like to meet somewhere in between, maybe near downtown or something, send me a PM.

Have you tried accord-pro's suggestion?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by accord-pro &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">a possible worn rubber stopper on the brake pedal,,

</TD></TR></TABLE>

I've looked at 7 different cars with this problem in the past 2 or 3 years (at least that I can remember). Of those 7, four had worn/broken/missing rubber stoppers, and two had faulty switches. The last was a 94 BMW 3-series with some really nasty electrical issues.

I appreciate the kind words... I'm just a firm believer in treating others the same way that I would like to be treated. (And who knows, maybe I can start a trend towards a better world. )
