Just like the title says, I need a shifter off of a 90-91 Civic DX ASAP...I tried another civic one but the ball was too big. I was told that the old school DX's have a smaller ball, and that is what I need.

Hey, that's cool...keep an eye out. I don't think they should go for more then $15 at a junkyard...but let me know if that is unreasonable. I may just have my entire shift linkage upgraded. I'll email you...

i can get you a short shifter for around 20 bucks and it will fit for your DX i just put my shifter in and it works perfectly

 

Hmmm...I'll think about that. I think I may hit up the junk yards and see what I can find. The short shifter that you have...is it one with the "smaller" ball?

yes it is it fits perfectly into the 88-91 civic dx's boot without a problem.

 

Do you have your stock shifter then? With the smaller ball? I am not fond of short shifters.
