its actually P20/B000....... anyways, its right next to the fill plug. if you are looking at the tranny as it would sit in the car, its the side facing the passenger fender, about halfway up.

its not S20, they are all P20, they say S20 on the serial tag, but thats not the casting number. i have 2 P20/A000 sitting here, and 1 P20/B000 next to me. but if you dont believe me oh well. keep looking for S20, you will see it on every sohc hydro tranny.

its real small, cast into the housing, not a sticker or anything, if you cant find it your blind. its right next to the fill plug. the circle its in is only the size of a quarter. might have to clean it off to read it/see it.

its smaller then a quarter and can easily be covered up with grease/grime/dirt

take a can of brake clean and load up around the fill plug... wipe away and you'll see it

s20 = 92-95
s40 = 96-00

a000 = small bearing case , s20 sticker, a000 case = cx/vx tranny or lx/dx tranny
b000 = big bearing case, s20 sticker, b000 case = ex/si tranny (si has 0.750 5th, ex has 0.702 5th

a000 s40 = hx/cx or dx/lx tranny
b000 s40 = ex tranny

also, d16z6 del sol si from 93-95 had 0.750 5th gear and civic hatchback si from 92-95 had 0.750 5th gear

96-97 del sol si had a 0.702 5th just like the ex/dx/lx/vx/hx/cx/whatever

just checked the part numbers because I wasn't sure if obd2 d16y8 del sol si used the 0.702 or the 0.750 5th gear. I guess that means the 93-95 del sol is faster than the 96-97 in 5th gear!

Sorry sir, you are wrong...........

PL3 = 88-91
P20 = 92-95
P4A = 96-00

As in the link in my sig.......

Basic Info
You can tell a DX/CX/VX tranny from a EX/Si by numbers cast into the housing. Just above the filler plug is a set of numbers.
P20/A000 is for DX/CX/VX
P20/B000 is for EX/Si

cant tell from them numbers, sounds like he is looking at the sticker not the numbers cast into the tranny case.
