Why don't [most] cars in the US and Canada have side markers? I've just never understood why they do in pretty much every other part of the world, and I've never found an answer. Any ideas?

they dont wanna waste anymore money making these cars.

 

Other contries do it cuz people who drive next to you in someones blindspot wont see their rear blinkers or front, but can see teh side. Its a safty thingy for them. The USA doesnt care about black people.

 

because if they put em on US cars... it wouldn't be JDM, then the JDM vs USDM threads on Honda-Tech.com wouldn't make sense at all...

 

Almost every new car made has sidemarkers...maybe back in the 90's and early 2000's the standard wasn't there, there might have been a standard made recently with the dot/car manunfactures for the US.

 

cuz back then the american market wasnt feeling side markers

v dubs have side markers in the US, im sure other manufacturers do too..

 

Everytime I post a reply I should end with "The US doesnt care about Black People"

 

BECAUSE we have turn signals on our corner lenses, where as most cars in other countries have theirs after the doors.
