K20A Swap In Progress

Default K20A Swap In Progress

Today around 10am we started the swap taking out the radiator and the ps ac and ac condensor axels giving some trouble becase the bent the nut so bad we broke the breaker bar looks like previous owner didnt want this suspension getting jacked. Post pictures when i get home. sound be comeplete within a week.

here are the pictures i dont want to insert them to the forum for those slower computers to get slowed down. can view them here i will be updateing them throwout the day/night for about week and a half

Sorry car is muddy a little bit rainging here in nor cal area driveway was muddy as hell cleaning completely before we put the k20 in. Hope you guys like the swap.

it looked like you went off-roading in the first pic

not to sound like an a$$ or anything... i noticed you have a 97spec, and you converted it to four lug? any particular reason?

the orgignial 5 lug was stolen so the owner before the guy i bought it from put a 96 spec 4 lug on. that mud was from my driveway hella muddy been rainging like hell lately i guess.

update - got right axel out wire harness removed but the left axel is giving us trouble chadd the guy that worked on it fixing my bottom end over tightend it and the heat from the brakes must hav froze it to the xel so we are trying to heat ti up and se if we can do it that way uploading pictures later on tonight.

engine is already sold sorry. but there is a problem. We cant get the left axel nut off because its sezed on and we tried heating it up and we no **** broke 6 braker bars today. anyone got any ideas how to get that bitch off

have you tried an impact gun on it?

one of the guns that spins up a flywheel inside, and then transfer the energy as a shock force onto the nut

we only have a 1/2 inch but im going to use a torch and heat ti up then use the impact gun. Happy Easter BTW

that should probably work.. if impact wrench isn't strong enough.. i just hit the wrench with hammer.. just be carefull not to strip the thread.

well we tried braker bars and we no **** broke 6 of them so 1/2 impact is the 2nd to last resort if that doesnt work we are going to rent a 1 inch andimpact if that still dosent work im going to have the other mechanice put it on pay for everything that has to come off the hard way because he fed it up
