For those with the EX and SI, what do you think of the premium sound system? It's sounds pretty good to me but when it's turned up past 14 or 15, it sounds like the speakers in the back rattle that little plastic board there on. Does Honda have an up-grade/replacment sub that hits harder thats a direct hook-up to the one thats there?

Honda Bass speakers are available (which includes two new speakers and a small amplifier) But I would go aftermarket and get some real upgrades if you want better sound. Audio systems arent as high on Honda's list as other things.

 

I think the sound system is pretty good, considering I am coming from a 02 civic EX. If you adjust the settings the system should sound fine. I personally keep the trebile and bass on +4, anything after that and the stereo starts to distort.

 

i bump my **** @ volume 20 it the following:

Sub = 6
Bass = 4
Treble = 6

depends on the song, but that **** rattles the trunk like hell sometimes

some dynamat(sp?) would solve that **** though

 

crap, my "premium sound system" sounds kinda sheity IMO. i need some dynamat!
