need help putting my fuel lines together
I just got some -6an braided fuel lines and I am having problems putting the ends on the lines, the middle slides all the way in, but the outside pops out and it looks like $hit
any help will be greatly appreciated, also how do you cut the lines?

I wrap masking tape tightly around the area I want to cut, then use a dremel with a cut-off wheel to cut through it. Then put a little oil on the tape and slide it into the fitting.
that is the way I was trying but the outside of the line keeps slididng up and bunching right infront of the fitting and just letting the middle slde in
wrap it with electrical tape, it works better and you can wrap it tighter. i hold it in a vise and cut it with a hack saw, but with almost no pressure so it doesn't fray the braiding. once i get half way though i hold the other side of the hose with some pliers to prevent it from moving. it seem to make a pretty clean cut.
you don't slide the hose into the aluminum coupling. you should twist it COUNTERCLOCKWISE. there is an internal thread in the coupling that helps hold the hose together when you thread in the other part of the hose end.
you should also use assembly lube meant for these hose ends. i don't know the name of it because i don't have any. i just usually spray a bit of silicone lubricant on the fitting and inside the rubber part of the hose when i thread the second part on, that is all.

putting hose ends together is a royal pain in the *** till you get a hang of it... use earl's oil and twist them in dont not push them in. once you do a few your get a hang of it. also as they say wrap the tape as tight as possiable
