need help putting my fuel lines together
I just got some -6an braided fuel lines and I am having problems putting the ends on the lines, the middle slides all the way in, but the outside pops out and it looks like $hit

unscrew the red part of the hose end and put it in a vise with 2 pieces of aluminum on each end to avoid scratching & putting dents in it.
tighten vise on red hose end fairly tight (that way it wont move around and *** it up for the next step)
put one end of the stainless line in first (if its frayed, put that side in first), use ur thumb to squeeze the stainless line (the remaining part sticking out) while at the same time turning clockwise and pressing forward...your going to have to squeeze hard while also pressing hard with your thumb
its going to be hard at first but just keep trying
also make sure the end of the hose reaches the end of the inside of the hose end fitting right before the threads (on the inside)
mark a line with a sharpie where the stainless line meets the hose end fitting to let u know if the line gets pushed out of the fitting when you screw it on the the blue side.

use whatever u would use to cut IC piping...hold on to the line then cut to length needed. Also dont worry about using tape at the ends just make a solid cut
Fine tooth hacksaw or a cutoff wheel work good, I am lazy so I use a chop saw. I also use a lil tool oil to lubricate the hose when screwing on the blue fitting-male end.

Tommy use a mini screwdriver to push the line in. Instead of your thumb. Save your fingers for other things.
And make sure to oil the threads of the male end of the fitting.

sorry to bring this back up but now that I have them together do I teflon tape the male connectors that the line connects to and that go into the fuel rail and requlater
do not use teflon tape on fuel lines/really i avoid using teflon tape on everything now adays, for the aeroquip and others u do not need to use any sealants
as far as putting hose together it is a royal pain in the a.. just keep at it, i try to use ductttape on end of hose before cutting so it does not fray, helps with hose going into fitting much much easier, then lots of elbow grease to install
good luck
