Default To 5th Gear or Not?? Cable Ys1/LSD Suggestions....

Ok heres the scenario before you guys slam me with comments......

Platform: All Motor Drag Car

was going 11.4x @ 120 last year finishing the quarter at end of 4th around 8,800-9,000 RPM on 22x8x13's shifting around 9000+/- with 1.75-1.85 60 foots on a bone stock 4.40 final drive..... JDM Cable ys1 with factory LSD

this year ill have almost 40 more whp and atleast 20-30 lbs of torque......
shift point will probably be the same, 9000 rpms give or take
given that the trap speed should improve say 5-10 mph ill definitely hit 5th gear before the quarter is over..... im looking to try to avoid that and up my final drive while increasing the size of my slicks in order to get consistent 1.6 60's.

This is where im at.....

1st - 3.307
2nd - 2.105
3rd - 1.458
4th - 1.107
5th - .880
F/d - 4.40

Ive narrowed it down to a few different options but they all come at different prices and im on a budget... just bought a house, im only 23, I work 2 jobs ect. ect....

1) buy a final drive for my existing transmission ( the infamous ys1/lsd)
problem: the only company ive found that makes one for the stock trans is circuitworx aka prodrive, I called them and they are sold out and wont produce more for months 4.727 F/D

2) buy a ITR LSD replace the one I have in my trans and either go with the 4.785 of the 98+ ITR or the 4.9 of the ATS ...
problem: I havent found a good writeup on it but im told modification is necessary on the case and certain other parts are needed

3) buy a drag spool and fit the ats/JDM ITR on it
problem: same as replacing the stock LSD with an ITR LSD... im not sure how much modification is necessary

any information anyone can provide besides telling me to search for it would be greatly appriciated........ im having a real hard time deciding whats the best way to lower my 60 foots and finish the q/mile in 4th so ill leave it up to h-tech to decide for me ill be actively checking this post in the next week or so till I decide what to do. Thanks everyone who read this far, I know its alot.

Hmm, i hate shifting to 5th, its the most annoying gear to shift into. But if you shift quick enough and consistently, it would be beneficial. Me personally, i would avoid it. 5th takes like twice the time to shift than any other gear, because its in the worst spot in the h-pattern.

The speed of the shifts doesn't factor in as much to the fact that 5th gear is a very high gear.
