Default Preffrance, Cable/Hydro tranny

After pricing out a rebuild for my S1 tranny. I was thinking it would be cheaper to get a ITR tranny and convert to Hydro.
Is there any advantages, using one over the other?

Driver that have/had Cable and use/switched to Hydro. Didi you like one over the other? Witch would be more beneficial?

Just like to hear other drivers point of view.

i have seen some of the all out drag clutches for the cable trannys actual shear the cables before due to the massive clamp loads required

i love my hydro tranny

Well, i never owned hydro, but there is one thing i love about cable trannies. It takes about .1% effort to hook it up. Loosen cable adjuster, place cable, tighten cable adjuster. Its cake. Hyrdo, bleeding and crap. Bleh that sucks. But i would say hydro is actually "better" overall.

Any more feedback? I may have to switch to hydro tranny in the near future, and I'd like to know more about this topic.

I built my own conversion but it looks identical to Hasports kit and feels the same. My buddy has the Hasport kit on his car and he was pissed when i made mine and it looks basically identical for about 1/6th of the price.
