im having problems starting the crx it started yesterday i was driving then the car just died out i pull over take off the dist cap and the dist rotor fell off so i screw it back in and try and start the car and it wont start and it keeps backfiring so i decide to replace the rotor and cap and check all my plugs and wires and check for spark im getting spark on all the cylinders so i move on to fuel and check fuel filter to find out it is clogged up so i replace that and check my relay and pump and im getting fuel i check fuel rail to see if the fuel is making it there and everything is good but for some reason i cant get the car to turn over and it keeps backfiring everytime i try and crank it i dont know what it could be i was racing a couple of days ago and was going from 4th to 5th and threw it into 3rd by accident and over redlined but car has been driving good untill last night and iwas driving normal wasnt speeding or doging the car so if anyone knows of what it could be your help would be greatly appreciated

learn how to shift not knowing how will kill ur motor because I do it a lot..
ur timing might be also off ..

depends on how fast ur were going and what rpms did it bounce from...

 

when i threw it into 3rd it reved at about 7,8- 8k

 

try checking ur ECU see if its throwing any codes, worth a look. GL
