Default OT: 2006 SI Dyno information

I know it's not Hype R material, but most on here like good, factual data.

Stock Hype R puts down 145ish on my rollers. FYI

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2006 SI
2003 miles

Car was 100% stock for the baseline, then we added:

AEM CAI
DC Sports Race Header
DC Sports Cat-back
Tein S-Tech springs

Note:
NOT Dyno Jet numbers!!
All work was done on the same day.

Enjoy

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Before versus After

Same data from above, but in "Deltas" format

Air fuel data Before

Air fuel data After

You'll be able to get used to everything except that steering wheel that looks like it came out of a 1965 Ford Galaxy.

It's a nice little car. If you drive one, you'll like it a lot.

People bitch about the price a little, but remember that the ITR back then cost five or six grand more than the new Si is costing.

That's precisely why it needs to make more power than the undefeatable TYTE-R.....

Thanks P1 for sharing the info

Yes, very true. Honda routed the intake right by the driver, so it really howls when you get on it.

I drove one, wasn't for me. Oh well.

Thanks Jack - we're going to dyno Civic_Sista's FG on the Dynojet. I will post that with a comparo against the stock Type R.

2 things to note:
1)Rich
2)The marketing guys at Honda got to pick the vtec engagement point again
3)Needs more cam advance in the mid range

That's three things.

Is VTEC too low or too high?

Is VTEC too low or too high?

At the stock cam angle, too low.

numbers look ok but trust me itr fans, these things are dogs. I work at the dealership driving them at least a couple times a week and I don't find it to be very impressive. It's a decent car for the price but definitely not for someone who wants a fast car, and the drive by wire is terrible, no throttle response when you want it most
