Default OT: planned track days for ITR owners in the Northeast?

Have a few days left to request off vacation days, and would like to request days that I can attend some track events. What events are you guys planning on hitting in the Northeast? Nasa has several events at pocono, watkins, limerock, but I would like to attend events that other ITR owners will be at rather than attend by myself. Post up some trackday dates you plan to attend.

I dunno if its possible but you could try and make it down for hyper-fest at Summit Main July 8-9. Always a big turnout from R owners there at any event

Usually I do one VIR 2 day in february, then one Watkins Glen 2 day in September and one Limerock 2 day in frigid November where it rains or snows but is always fuggin cold. But this season I may skip everything since I'm saving as much $$$ as I can for a new house.

I'm kinda still up in the air for the Annual Watkins Glen BBQ and fest but as it looks right now nothing else will even be considered except for the odd autocross.

Be back stronger in 07 for sure though after I have a nice cozy garage where I can work on the bucket all winter long.

PDA is joined with NASA-NE if you didn't already know and they will honor NASA memberships for DE's. Here's their site where they have alot more HPDE's listed than just through NASA-NE: http://www.pdadrivingschool.com/schedules/

Another issue that has come to the regular attendees attention is that the price for track days has risen steeply across the board.

If you haven't yet made the treck to VIR and you want to make one good track event this season, then VIR is the one to hit. And I strongly suggest a 2 day event full course if available.

thanks for the info Anton, I was gonna ask about PDA or other clubs as well. and yes Ive heard the price seems to have gone up across the board unfortunately.

Ill consider all events mentioned, just not sure how far I wanna go. VIR is fuggin FAR. Jon thanks for the offer but hopefully that wont be needed!

Well if distance is the real issue then go for Pocano and Limerock.

VIR is between 14 and 16 hours depending on if I trailer and the weather. Watkins Glen is between 5 to 6 hours again depending on trailer and weather but the drive is super pleasant. Pocano is a couple hours tops. For me Limerock is in my back yard at 1 hour max.

So shoot for Limerock and Pocano and push yourself for Watkins Glen at least once if you can't do the VIR trip.

I was hoping the PDA-NASA union would have no effect on the pricing. I was wrong....

I am still unsure on specifics, but Watkins Glen will definitely be in the mix of things.
