Yeah lots of ppl are. 84.5 is generally accepted as the absolute max for a boosted B18. However head gasket thickness between the cylinders is very thin. Watch out for blown head gaskets. NA guys push 85mm

84.5mm here

Muckman is right tho, moost FI guys wont go past 85mm.

If you start at 81, 82, 83 mm you'll have lots of times to go .5 over for a hone, etc.

A couple months ago you were trying to sell a mostly stock car, now it's boosted with a sleeved 86mm block? Right.

The Innes racing civic runs an 85mm bore and they do fine, as do a few other cars. I think mattcivic had an 84mm block and melted some pistons, so he's going to have to bore to atleast 84.5mm. Plenty of people start out at that size from the get-go, and I think you'll be fine.

ahh sweet the road back to boost has began. i was gunna go all motor but F that the price u pay just doesnt cut it for power. iono its cool if yer into it but i want OMG fast! spinning tire on the freeway on a role is priceless. well motor should be finished soon, as soon as its in ill start piecing another kit together it will prolly be late summer till shes boosted again unless i win the lotto. plan this time is to go with a top mount, gt35r, 750's, and im thinking a full race IM this time. thanx guys.
