Default Worth it to do this work?

Well, i think my headgasket is blown. The motor in my ED3 has 239,xxx on it. Would it be worth it to put a new headgasket on or should I scrap the motor and purchase a D15B and go sohc vtec for right now?

I have the bucks to work with, but on top of the motor, I have to wire in everything and find and ECU etc.....I just dont know what route to take.

BTW, I am still dpfi.

I would say don't scrap the motor. That is 50/50 man. That is a tough decision.

It depends on future plans for the CRX...

If it's just a daily driver and you're satisfied with the motor, then change the headgasket..

If not, go with the sohc vtec.. You'll be happier and it will last longer in the end.

Ditch that engine. If the car is nice, swap a different motor in. If you are limited on time and money, go d15b sohc vtec. If you have more many and more time, go b16 swap.

BTW, lol on your user name "Blanket Jackson". Man, MJ is such a weirdo!

Well how much buck can ya bang with? I have a b16 in my crx, I must say, very pleased. MPFI wiring isn't drastically hard really. I've had several crx's with different swaps. This is my first bseries crx. I had a z6, y8 and a mini me. I was more impressed with the mini me on a SOHC non vtec 1.6 block with a VTEC Y8 head, it had high compression and I was keeping up with B16 crxs and integra's while it was just a head swap!

Yeah. How much better is the Z6 or A6 bottom end with a Vtec head over the stock 1.5 block and D15 Vtec head?

Compression is up, I know that.

It's actaully significantly better. ALOT more power than the 80WHP or less the stock 1.5 has. Compression goes up as well as HP. I had a Y8/a6 bottom end combination, intake, header and exhuast, clutch and lightned flywheel in one of my crx's and I was keeping up with DC2's with bolt ons, DA's with bolt ons, B16 CRX, they are pretty quick for what they are man!
