I have a d16y7 header in an eg chassis. My question is, on the end of the ex. manifold flange where the two spring bolts go to the pipe, the bolt holes sit at a 45 degree and my pipe flange bolt holes are parallel with the ground. Is there anything I can do besides having to cut off the section before the cat and re-weld? Will a homemade bracket work?

 

If it is an aftermarket catback you can try to line up the first pipe with the manifold then have the pipe that does 2 90* angles at a little different angle. That's what I had to do.
