I just got done installing k20z from 06 rsx type s in 04 civic si. I had to extend three wires from speed sensor because the six speed tranny speed sensor is located in different location. The vehicle is running ok, but speedo does not work, eps light on and power steering does not work, and engine is over heating...fan not turning on. I noticed that there was a sensor on k20z tranny that my stock harness did not have so I did not hook it up. Should I take out my harness and use the harness from k20z engine...if so will I be able to use my stock ecu with that harness. I am using my stock ecu...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

I am going to venture a guess and say your issue may well be the ecu. I could be off base here, but I dont think the a3 ecu can effective run the k20z engine.

 

Yea...I'm not really sure right now. A friend who is a honda tech just told today that I should check the wiring on the vehicle speed sensor because the speed sensor, cooling fan, and electronic power steering run off the same common ground. If the wires are mixed up in any way than that could cause that type of multiple effects. I will check it tomorrow and if it is I will post it.
